INFANT Study
Monday 21st June, Waterfront Hall, Belfast, 18.00 - 19.30
Attendees of this seminar, chaired by Professor Philip Steer
(Editor BJOG), will hear about the INFANT study, a
multicentre randomised controlled trial of a decision
support system for interpretation of the cardiotocogram
(CTG) during labour.
http://www.hta.ac.uk/1734
The INFANT study is managed by the National Perinatal
Epidemiology Unit, Oxford University, and commenced in
January 2010. It is the largest maternity study to be funded
by the NHS and will recruit 46,000 births in 12-16 hospitals
in UK and Ireland over a 3 year period.
The INFANT system was developed by K2 Medical Systems and
the purpose of the study is to investigate whether the
assistance of computer interpretation of the CTG can lead to
a reduction in poor perinatal outcome.
Attendees of the seminar will receive a presentation of the
INFANT system as well as full details of INFANT study.
Places are strictly limited and therefore we would recommend
that an early response is essential.
The seminar will be held in the Studio, Waterfront Hall, on
Monday 21st June at 18.00 for refreshments and finish by
19.30.
